Weve got some fantastic events lined up for you in 2018 on the Isle of Man

Tue, 06 Mar 2018

With winter fast retreating (we wish!) and spring time just emerging (fingers crossed!) the arrival of milder weather and lovely, long days on the Isle of Man heralds the start to our busiest period of the year.

For visitors to our shores, the Island bursts into life pretty much from March onwards, with events coming thick and fast from then on. In fact, we’ve got a mouth-watering range of events and activities lined up throughout 2018, to suit just about everyone – from thrill seekers to those who prefer a more sedate pace of life.

Firstly, here at Isle of Man Events, we are delighted to announce the relaunch of the Isle of Man Walking Festival, one of the most popular activities in the calendar.  Now renamed ‘Walk the Isle of Man’, this five day extravaganza takes place from Oct -1st to 5th. We’re now in the process of distributing information to walkers past and present, and there is likely to be a high demand for places, so if you are interested in taking part, please contact us asap, so that we can make all the necessary arrangements. Also, keep checking the website and our Facebook page too, as we’ll be updating information about specific activities surrounding the scheduled walks and providing details of the daily itinerary, just as soon as it becomes available.

Meanwhile….

Before then, there are numerous sports-based and outdoor activities that we’ve got lined up for you. Just around the corner, the pulsating and hugely successful Isle of Man Darts Festival will be taking place at the Villa Marina from Mar 8-11, then, just as action-packed, for motorsport fans there’s the British Sidecar Trials Championships from Mar 31 – Apr 1, followed by the ACU British Youth Trials Championship from Apr 14-15.

The month of May promises to be as hectic, with the Isle of Man Youth and Junior Cycling Tour saddling up from May 4-6, neatly leading into the Manx National Rally which takes to the Island’s roads from May 10-13.  And then we enter a full summer and autumn programme (for specific event information, see details elsewhere on the website).

And don’t forget, we also have a breathtaking range of activity holidays and short breaks for you to look forward to. Maybe its wildlife and heritage tours, railway holidays and Explorer Breaks that tickle your fancy. Or something more adventurous, like Enduro racing, mountain biking and cycling breaks, perhaps a kayaking and coasteering adventure – the Isle of Man’s great outdoors awaits you in 2018.

All set against a superb backdrop of spectacular coastal scenery, rolling hills, picture postcard glens and rich Manx history. What are you waiting for!

If you are planning on coming over from the UK, Ireland or further afield – don’t worry - we can help you with all your travel and accommodation arrangements. Our advice at this stage would be to not leave your booking too late, as places to stay are inclined to get snapped up, especially during the busy spring, summer and autumn periods.

Simply call us on 01624 664460 or email info@iomevents.com and we’ll get straight back to you.  We look forward to welcoming you in 2018.
