9 Nights, 7 Days Walking, 1 Rest Day
28 July - 06 August 2025
Overview
The Raad ny Foillan (which means the Way of the Gull) is the iconic 100 mile coastal footpath that circumvents the Isle of Man. It is the Island’s premier long distance walking route.
With spectacular scenery, featuring an up-close view of the Island’s rugged coastline, as well as panoramic views of glorious, undulating countryside, this is a walk to remember. The route mostly sticks close to the coastline, but you’ll also encounter a pleasing mix of Manx terrain, when the path occasionally diverts inland. But whether you are walking on shingle beaches, on the cliffs high above the sea or through the foothills of our sweeping fells, we can guarantee some unforgettable hiking.
Once you’ve completed the entire route, you’ll certainly feel a sense of achievement – and have a fantastic story to tell.
You’ll enjoy friendly company, safe in the knowledge that your guide, Ken Harding, holds professional qualifications with the Mountain Training Association. As walk organisers, we are fully accredited and insured for guided walking activities and we follow industry guidelines to ensure your safety.
Please be advised that numbers for these two guided walks are limited, so to ensure you secure your slot(s), don’t delay your booking.
What you can expect
The walking terrain varies from moorland to beach sections. As these are guided walks, our priority is to accommodate and support all participants every step of the way. Nevertheless, if you would like to participate, you should be reasonably confident of your fitness and be comfortable walking between 15-20 miles each day.
Each stage is designed to offer you the maximum amount of enjoyment from the experience. Please be advised, that some sections have occasional steep slopes and cliff tops.
The advantages of group walking and using a professional guide are that it allows you the opportunity to cover good distances and learn things along the way that might not otherwise be possible. Your fitness and the interaction with your fellow walkers will just add to the overall experience.
What to bring
Please ensure you wear comfortable and supportive walking shoes/boots, with good grip. Carry suitable clothing with waterproofs, in case the weather closes in. Bring your walking poles if you use them, as well as cameras, binoculars, lunch and snacks, to ensure you stay nourished. Make sure you have plenty of fluid/water.
