In tandem with Isle of Man Cycle Tours, we are delighted to be laying on escorted and fully supported short-break Cycling Tours to the Isle of Man.  

Cycling is hugely popular on the Island – helped in no small measure by its spectacular landscapes and varied terrain. That’s why the Isle of Man was chosen to host the 2016 Men’s and Women’s UK National Road Race Championships. So what better place to bring your bike for a memorable two-wheeled experience!  

Now, with the benefit of highly experienced and knowledgeable tour guides, you too can be part of the action!     

Alongside some fabulous cycling – tailored to your standard of riding - you’ll witness awe inspiring scenery, historic attractions, as well as superb artisan food, restaurants and quality hotels where you can relax and refuel. Don’t delay your booking!

Isle of Man Cycle Tours is run by Richard Fletcher, who has extensive experience as a Cycle Tour Guide in the UK and Europe.  These

This is a fully integrated Travel, Hotel & Bike Tour package, with all of your travel and accommodation arranged and coordinated by Isle of Man Events. The programme is a mixture of self-guided tours with transfer support only, through to fully supported and guided tours.

Anyone who loves to peddle a bike will be catered - from leisure riding (e-bikes welcome) through to strenuous Sports Tours and Sportives. There is even a chance to participate in the fabled Lighthouses Challenge, one of the Isle of Man’s annual premier cycling events.  

We’ll be staging eight tours during 2019 – starting from the first May Bank Holiday and going right through to the weekend before the Festival of Motorcycling in August (see proposed Itinerary guide)

From £579 pp packages include:

  • Travel from UK to the IOM

Itinerary & Proposed Routes

Leisure Tours - Arrival Day:

Arrival on Island with collection from either Douglas Port or Ronaldsway and transfer to Comis Hotel, Mount Murray.

Dependent upon arrival time, there will be the option to either go for a short ride (route provided, but self-guided) or to enjoy the facilities of the Comis Country Club. 1830 hours – welcome drink & briefing with Guides.

Tour Day 1:

A 51-mile tour of the South of the Island, with Points of Interest (POI) & refreshment stops at Sound Café, Castle Rushen and Foraging Vintners, before return for a second night at the Comis Hotel & Country Club.

Tour Day 2:

A 42-mile tour of the West of the Island, with POI & refreshment stops at Peel for lunch, House of Manannan and then North to Ramsey with 2-night stay at the Ramsey Park Hotel.

Tour Day 3:

A 56-mile tour of the East & North of the Island, with POI & refreshment stops at Laxey (Beach & Wheel), Point of Ayre. Then on to Jurby Guardhouse Café and a tour of the Fynoderee distillery. From there, back to Ramsey Park Hotel.

Departure Day:

Collection from the Ramsey Park Hotel and transfer to either Douglas Port or Ronaldsway Airport.

Sportive Tours -  Arrival Day:

Arrival on Island with collection from either Douglas Port or Ronaldsway and transfer to Comis Hotel, Mount Murray.
